Learn to Surf

All Costa Rica Camp surf lessons begin on the white sand beaches just a 100m from the hotel. Every day we start with light stretching, lessons on surf etiquette, paddling techniques, the “pop up” and water safety. All of our instructors, whether they are local or international, have years of surfing experience, CPR and water safety training. At Jobbie’s Surf Camp, you’re in good hands.

Never surfed before, but want to learn? No worries!

We will be at your side every step of the way. From the time you set foot on the beach, to the time you get into the water and stand-up on your first wave we’ll be there to offer encouragement and support. As a beginner you’ll start out on the gently rolling waves and, when you get more comfortable, we’ll accompany you beyond the break. Our Costa Rica Surf Camp offers a safe and fun environment where we know we can help make your surfing dreams a reality.

We have the technical expertise to help you overcome difficulties of poor form, and the right attitude to help you boost your surfing confidence!

If you’ve surfed before and are hungry for a challenge, we have the big breaks to satisfy your cravings and the knowledgeable guides to get you there.

For everyone who works with us, teaching surfing is much more than just a job; for the Costa Rica Surf Camp staff, surfing is a lifestyle. We surf every chance we get, so whenever you’re feelin’ it, you can come out and paddle with any one of us for awesome one-on-one pointers!
